The loyal Microsoft fans couldn’t contain their excitement when the Xbox One was unveiled at the infamous E3 conference with Sony hot on their heels to launch the much anticipated PS4 but the big question is, which console truly comes out on top? Xbox one vs PS4 – Graphics
One of the biggest reasons, and the biggest argument Sony fans can throw up is the fact the PS4 has categorically much better graphics hardware but are they really that apparent when you’re getting stuck into a first person shooter? Luckily, a lot of this generation’s games will be available on both consoles which is great news for gamers who don’t have the funds to blow separate systems but doesn’t bode well in making the choice between purchasing an Xbox One or PS4. Halo 5: Guardians, Forza and Project Spark are amongst the most anticipated Xbox One released whilst PS4 fans are gagging to get their hands on Bloodborne, Little Big Planet 3 and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

If you want your console to come with a lot of toys and extras you’re probably better off going for a Wii as seriuos gaming doesn’t require any additional plastic although a steering wheel can be a pretty cool prop when playing a high impact driving game such as Forza or GTA. Xbox users are famed for their love of Turtle Beach headsets in which they use in online gameplay (and mostly to hurl insults) which makes for great fun when playing with friends and whilst they will still be highly popular Sony have gone one step further in developing Project Morpheus. In comparison to the Xbox One, the PS4 is slim, compact and lightweight making it much more convenient if you have a cramped bedroom/games room. Taking up less room whilst looking sleek and shiny in the process, the PS4 is the better choice for those with less space.
Playstation TV allows users to play their Playstation from any TV in the house. This is great news for those in shared housing or who are unfortunate enough to live with Netflix addicts who spend every waking hour in front of the main TV. Announced at the 2014 E3 conference , Playstation TV will really come in handy although it does lack some detail when it comes to graphics and slightly lags but the pros definitely outweigh the cons on this one.
The PS4 Share Play is what multi-gamers dreams are made of. This brand new technology allowed users to invite their friends over and indulge a local co-op experience, but all online. (even if your friend doesn’t own the game). Think of it as a ‘virtual couch’ and whilst each session only lasts an hour, there’s no limit to how may sessions you can play.
